ccc-school-highlight2020 marked the 25th Anniversary of Community Care College. Founded in 1995 as Dental Directions, The School of Dental Assisting, the one-program school has expanded over the twenty years to include three college campuses (Community Care College, Clary Sage College, and Oklahoma Technical College), that offer over 25 diploma and degree programs. From a one-person organization operated by the founder, the college now employs over 120 people.

The college has graduated thousands of professionals and thus contributed millions of dollars into the economy. Although the growth has been exhilarating, the founding principles of the organization have never changed. The college continues to measure its success by assessing student outcomes such as completion rates, job placement rates, low default rates, and the number of lives that have changed in pursuing a brighter future.

Founder and CEO, Teresa Knox, converted the college to non-profit status (a 501c3 organization) in the summer of 2015 in order to achieve the ultimate goal of expanding educational opportunities to more students.
